We want to give our PTO a big THANK YOU for helping to fund our 5th graders composting project. The kids received a 120 gallon composting bin. Each day the students will collect the leftover food scraps from the cafeteria and place them in the bin for them to naturally compost. In the spring, our 5th graders will give the compost to the high school to use in the greenhouse.

North Gem Supplemental Levy: Investing in Our Students’ Future

At North Gem, our commitment remains strong, providing a safe, high-quality education for every student while being responsible stewards of taxpayer funds.

This November, voters will consider renewing our current supplemental levy to maintain essential programs, staff, and services that keep our district moving forward.

What This Means for Taxpayers:

• Estimated annual cost: $159.72 per $100,000 of taxable value
• This replaces the current levy (expiring June 30, 2026)
• Estimated decrease: $9.85 per $100,000 compared to the current levy

What the Levy Supports:

• Small class sizes and individualized instruction
• Quality teachers and academic programs
• Student activities, technology, and safe facilities
• Transportation and operational stability in our rural district
