December is here and the Holiday season is upon us. As the weather continues to cool down be sure to check out the North Gem website, www.sd149.com for information on emergency closures. If you want to see the temperature at the school click on the link at the bottom of the home page and it will give you up to the second weather information. We are fortunate to have the technology that not only helps us learn and grow, but also that helps us keep our students safe from the extremities.

We have a busy month ahead as we start looking to the end of the 1st semester. Please utilize power school to keep current with your students grades. It is proven that interest in academic performance at home, equals improved academic performance in the classroom. It is a difficult
time for students, as well as all of us, to maintain our focus on our school work amid the many distractions of the Holidays.

It is a fantastic time of year, and we are excited for the opportunity for our students and staff to spend time with friends and family. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful children; they are certainly among the best I have ever associated with. I would like to wish you all a very happy and safe holiday season!
