What does it take to be able to snowmobile?

  • Safety comes first - First off, you need to be warm. Know how to ride and drive the snowmobile. Remember, it takes more than talent to ride or drive a snowmobile, you have to use your knowledge. you can find out more about how to be prepare by going to this website below.
  • Clothing- Wear appropriate clothing that will keep you warm. Try not to wear the following: Jeans, thin socks, short sleeve T-shirts, or anything else that will cause you to get cold.

Make sure you have gloves, a hat, thick wool socks, thermals (top and bottom pair), snow boots, snow pants, helmet, ect. You'll find that the warmer you are, the more fun you'll have out in the cold snow. Basically you need to be prepared for anything.

  • Gear - You should be prepared for a time when you'll get stuck. In case you do, you should have a shovel to dig with. The right size of shovel should fit in the back inside of the snowmobile.
