8th Grade Student Information Technology Standards (ISITS)

Kindergarten – 7th Grade Information Technology Benchmarks

North Gem School District #149 Technology Committee asked a school-wide team to develop a copy of student information technology standards for eighth-grade students.

The team consisted of the following:

Jim Murdoch, Technology Specialist/Team Leader

Jamie Holyoak, Superintendent

Sam Wadsworth, 3^rd Grade Teacher/Curriculum Leader

Melanie Williams, 4^th Grade Teacher

Candace Rindlisbaker, 6^th Grade Teacher

The eighth grade was chosen because it is considered to be the culmination of the elementary/middle grades and sets the standard for a student entering his or her high school career. Therefore, the following standards are what we expect an eighth grader to know and be able to do in the area of technology.
